About Us

Hi, I’m Carl. Long time nail biter of over 40 years who finally quit at the age of 50 (!) years old. It’s an easy habit to start but a difficult one to quit, isn’t it? I picked and bit nails so often that it was subconscious and I didn’t even notice I was doing it until my wife and younger daughter reminded me when they heard me picking my nails.

There are quite a few side effects to nail biting as I found out along the way and some of them can be quite serious. You might already be experiencing some of them. Perhaps together we can figure out how you can also stop this annoying habit just like I did.

FYI, before I quit I wrote many of the first pages on this website while picking and biting my nails. It was that bad.
